Caring for your Bag Bug Accessory

Over time, fine jewelry can become a treasured family heirloon if it is cared for properly. Dust, pollution and daily wear can affect the brilliance of semi-precious stones and gemstomes. The surface of gold and other precious metals can become dulled and or scratched. Tiemeworn pieces can result in the loss of a stone or an entire piece of jewelry.

Regular cleaning and care for your Bag Bug are highly recommended.

To maintain your Bag Bug clean and shiny, polish the top part of your Bag Bug with a soft and slightly humid jewelry cloth as often as you like. To clean the pad, use a soft humid cloth as often as once a week.

The 24 Karat gold and 18 Karat rose gold plated Bag Bug designs are plated with real gold. Gold is a soft metal, and therefore it will scratch. The Bag Bug will have some scratches over time with regular wear just like any other real gold-plated piece of jewelry. A trusted jewelery store may be able to polish and clean the Bag Bug in order to remove some scratches.

The silver colored Bag Bug designs are polished stainless steel. Stainless steel does not rust and is much more resistant to scratches than gold. However, minor scratches are still possible over time with regular wear just like any other polished stainless steel piece of jewelry. A trusted jewelery store may be able to polish and clean the Bag Bug in order to remove some scratches.
